Frost & Dodd Student Play Competition Submissions due April 12

Submissions are now being accepted for the 2021 Frost & Dodd Student Play Competition and Festival!

 2021 SUBMISSION DEADLINE: Monday, April 12 @ 4:00 pm

The Frost and Dodd Student Play Festival brings to life the winners of two annual student one-act playwriting contests: The Eleanor Frost Playwriting Contest and the Ruth and Loring Dodd Playwriting Contest. Every spring, two student-written one-act plays are selected to be produced by the Department of Theater as staged readings; a third play is mounted as a fully-produced production. Rehearsals and performances take place in the summer during the annual Frost & Dodd Student Play Festival, held each July in the Bentley Theater (or via a TBD remote or outdoors platform, depending on the state of the world); winners also receive a cash prize.

Current Dartmouth undergraduates are now invited to submit original, previously unproduced, one-act plays; submitted works will be considered for both the Frost and Dodd awards. Contest details and more information are available HERE. Good luck!
