Announcing OPEN AUDITIONS on April 5 and 6 for
Away This Night
An honors thesis production conceived by Julie Solomon '17
Julie Solomon, Co-director and Scenic Designer
Deena Selenow, Co-director
Victoria Rowe '17, Lighting Designer
Celeste Jennings '18, Costume Designer
Will Maresco '19, Sound Designer
This show will be produced in the Moore Theater, May 19-21.
Away This Night interweaves the stories of three Shakespearean women who cross-dress. Inspired by immersive and feminist theatre traditions, this project is a study of the intersections of gender identity, gender presentation, race, sexuality, and ability in physical space. The performance will move throughout three built environments on the Moore Stage, taking the audience on a journey through the worlds of As You Like It, Twelfth Night, and The Merchant of Venice.
ABOUT AUDITIONS:
For this project we are seeking to cast actors who are interested in collaboration and innovation. There are roles for 11 actors - women will be considered for leading male roles in our playful imaginings of gender. We invite cisgender, transgender, and nonbinary individuals, as well as people of all races, to audition. No experience necessary!

**Come to the department's Spring Showcase (6:30 PM in the Bentley on Monday, April 3) to hear Julie speak about her project.**
