Cassandra: A Dramatic Poem is a vibrant reimagining of the fall of Troy by one of Ukraine’s greatest writers, Lesia Ukrainka, born Larysa Petrivna Kosach (1871 –1913). Activist and feminist Ukrainka places one of mythology’s most compelling female voices at the center of a powerful drama about truth, war, and the cost of speaking when no one will listen.

Performance: Monday, November 16th at 7pm in the Bentley Theater

Directed and produced by Professor Elyse Singer
Ukrainian language consultant: Professor Victoria Somoff, Department of East European, Eurasian, and Russian Studies
Dramaturg: Anikó Szucs
