Biography
Michael is an interdisciplinary theatre director and visual artist whose work has been presented across the United States, United Kingdom, and Europe. His directing, performance, and installation work has been developed and presented by leading cultural institutions including New York Theatre Workshop, the Institute of Contemporary Arts (London), the British Museum, Her Majesty's Theatre, Arcola Theatre, and the National Theatre of Slovenia, as well as theatres and festivals throughout the United States and United Kingdom.
He is a former New York Theatre Workshop 2050 Directing Fellow and Drama League Directing Fellow, a former director with The Civilians R&D Group, and a member of the Lincoln Center Theater Directors Lab.
An artist and educator, he has taught directing, acting, performance, and interdisciplinary practice at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts.
