Theater Minor Stephanie Everett '19 has just finished up an e-term at Northern Stage that included performing in their production of The Little Mermaid, but her work on their stage will continue later this month! A staged reading of Steph's play It's Fine, I'm Fine will be performed on January 19 at 7:30 pm as part of Northern Stage's New Works Now New Play Festival. Northern Stage is a LORT-D professional regional theater led by Artistic Director and Dartmouth Professor Carol Dunne; this is the first time that the work of a Dartmouth undergraduate has been included in their annual January offering of new plays.
Steph's play summary reads:
In 2016, a young soccer player was knocked in the head for the third time in as many years. The consequence: chronic traumatic brain injury and the resulting isolation, pain, and confusion. This brave, vulnerable, and timely one-woman show is a window into the tumult of modern-day adolescence, made increasingly difficult by the unseen repercussions of concussions.
Tickets are FREE but the New Works readings fill up fast, so call 802-296-7000 or email the Northern Stage Box Office TODAY to reserve your seats.
Stephanie's work as a playwright and her upcoming performance at Northern Stage were recently featured in the Valley News! Read the article HERE.
Congratulations Stephanie!
