A Message from Professor Alvarez:
I'm so excited and honored to be joining the community at Dartmouth College! Theatre is one of the few places where we gather, fully present, to witness one another. It asks us not only to see, but to recognize ourselves within the lives and experiences of others. That shared presence feels essential right now. It’s how we build empathy, challenge assumptions, and stay connected to what it means to be human.
I'm thrilled by the opportunity to dream up new ways of creating and reimagining work with you all that speaks to the present moment and examines the culture we’re living through with curiosity, rigor, and care. And, to explore how we continue to evolve our art form.
I look forward to learning from students and colleagues, and to growing through collaboration, conversation, and practice.
Excited for the adventure ahead!
Michael
