Summer Theater Lab, 2024: VoxLab

The annual summer residency of innovative artists creating daring new works returns for the 12th consecutive year. Led by producers Nicolle Allen '16 and Matthew Cohn '08, VoxLab is a live arts laboratory focused on developing projects by Dartmouth alumni.

During a week-long Dartmouth residency, alums and other visiting artists develop their works-in-progress in collaboration with current undergraduates. VoxLab creates a space for alumni to experiment, immerses students in the process of creating new work, and builds a more connected community for alumni in the arts.

This year's VoxLab will be June 23-July 1, 2024 with VoxFest public performances scheduled for June 29 & 30th.

Theater on Currier

A mysterious and opulent woman journeys to the desert on a mission to seduce a young Christian hermit in this Biblical "will they won't they" dreamed up by Oscar Wilde.

Or The Woman Covered in Jewels is an expansion and exploration of Wilde's lost and fragmented text La Sainte Courtisane. This devised work in progress was created in collaboration with our students from Theater 65 and experiments with a collage of mediums including music, movement, video, poetry, and DIY crafted set dressing.
