A Department of Theater MainStage Production
Tickets available at the HOP Box Office
A timeless and deeply relevant Tony Award-winning musical, and one of Sondheim's most inventive works. This sophisticated fairy-tale mash-up tells the story of a Baker and his wife, who wish to have a child; Cinderella, who wishes to attend the King's Festival; and Jack, who wishes his cow would give milk. When the Baker and his wife learn that they cannot have a child because of a Witch's curse, the two embark on a journey to change their fate. Many wishes are granted - but as the characters discover, every wish, and every individual action, can have far-reaching consequences.
