Stratford Festival Internship Opportunity, Spring 2020

The Stratford Festival Student Internship
Spring 2020

Application deadline: January 1, 2020

The Department of Theater and the Hopkins Center are delighted to announce a remarkable new internship opportunity at the world-renowned Stratford Festival. The 10-week internship is designed for advanced students in non-performance areas of theater (Stage Management, Directing, Design, Dramaturgy, and/or Technical Production).

Based in Stratford, Ontario, the Stratford Festival is the largest classical repertory theatre company in North America. The company is internationally known and respected as a leading producer of classic works, contemporary dramas, and musicals, with special emphasis on the plays of William Shakespeare. The Festival's 2020 Season encompasses 15 productions and over 300 events in four distinct performance spaces, including the brand-new Tom Patterson Theater facility.

Two students will be selected to travel to Stratford for a 10-week internship between March and early June of 2020. The specific design of the internship will be tailored to the individual student’s experience and stated interests. Housing and travel expenses will be included. The internship will also include a stipend of $200/week to cover food and other expenses while in residence.
