The Department of Theater is delighted to announce that award-winning actor, director, and filmmaker Sagan Chen '14 will be returning to campus this term to direct a staged reading performance of an as-yet-untitled play in the Bentley Theater! As a queer nonbinary Chinese-American artist, Sagan centers their work on uplifting underrepresented voices onstage, onscreen, and on the page; recent credits include High Maintenance S3 (HBO), Here We Wait, Sideways Smile.
Rehearsals will begin Monday January 24, with a final public performance scheduled for Friday evening February 4. Learn more about Sagan at their website HERE, come by the Winter Term Info Session on Wednesday 1/12 to (virtually) meet her - and stay tuned for announcements about auditions, coming very soon!
