A research exploration and dance showcase highlighting the work of the eight Black women who have choreographed on Broadway. The research exposes intersectional oppression in theater and the experiences of these women as they opened doors for future Black female choreographers. The showcase features all original choreography to songs in musical theater from the shows these women have worked on.

About This Performance

  • This performance will be hosted via Zoom webinar. A maximum of 100 people may attend in the webinar format, so audience members will be admitted on a first-come, first-serve basis. Unlike a regular Zoom meeting, webinar viewers have neither video nor audio feed, so there will be no need to mute yourself or to disable your video. 
  • Following the performance, Hannah and her advisors  will be taking questions from the audience. Attendees can use the "Q&A" feature (located in the bottom toolbar of your Zoom webinar screen) to convey any questions that you may have for the artist.
  • Note that you can optimize your viewing experience by restarting your computer a few minutes before starting your screening and by closing other applications and windows.
