Kander and Ebb’s brilliant musical, first produced on Broadway in 1966, is stunningly relevant in today’s political climate. The show focuses on the loves and losses of a group of artists and performers who struggle to live in a world on the brink of fascism.

Join Professor Veronika Fuechtner and Cabaret Director Carol Dunne for a conversation focusing on the historical and cultural context of Cabaret. Professor Fuechtner is the Chair of the German Department; Carol Dunne is a Lecturer with the Theater Department as well as the Artistic Director of Northern Stage. The conversation will be moderated by Laura Edmondson, Theater Department Chair. Free and open to the public.
