Are you interested in Acting I, Acting II or Speaking Voice for the Stage for Winter 2016? These are some of the most popular courses on campus and space is limited. Instructor permission is required for these courses, meaning that it is not possible to pre-register.
There are three sections of Acting I (THEA 30) offered this winter. Interview sign- up sheets for all Acting I sections will be posted on the corkboard in Shakespeare Alley at 9 AM on Monday, January 4th. Shakespeare Alley is located through the glass doors on the left side of the Moore Theater in the Hopkins Center for the Arts. Slots fill up quickly. Please note that one section of Acting I will have interviews on Monday, January 4th starting at 10AM. The two other sections of Acting I will have interviews throughout the day on Tuesday, January 5th. Please look closely at the section for which you sign up to interview and the date and time of those interviews. Also, please plan on arriving about ten minutes early for your interview to fill out a questionairre.
Acting II (THEA 31) and Speaking Voice for the Stage (THEA 36) interviews will be conducted on Tuesday, January 5th. The sign up sheets for those interviews will also be posted on the corkboard in Shakespeare Alley at 9AM on Monday, January 4th. Please arrive ten minutes early for your interview to fill out a questionairre.
All students should expect to be notified via email by Wednesday morning, January 6th about whether or not you were admitted into your course of interest. If you are offered a spot, the Department of Theater's Academic Assistant will promptly grant your permission on Banner Student. If you are not offered a slot for a course this winter, you may interview again in the spring, and/or in future years.
