The Dartmouth Department of Theater's MainStage Production of "1984" runs from February 16 through February 25.   Tickets on sale at the Hop Box Office.

Based on the novel by George Orwell, adapted for radio by Milton Wayne, and adapted for the stage by Peter Hackett.

Buoyed by “misinformation” and “alternative facts,” the current political regime’s attacks on our democratic institutions have thrust George Orwell’s classic dystopian novel, 1984, onto the best seller list once again. This production investigates Orwell’s 20th-century prophecy in the context of 21st-century America, and asks the question, “Are we there yet?”
