Join us following staged readings of the Frost contest winning plays, "The House" and "Sigh No More," for a discussion with the playwrights, director and members of the casts.
THE FROST AND DODD STUDENT PLAY FESTIVAL, JULY 27-29
Winner of the Dodd Play Contest: "First Year" by Jennifer West '20.
Full production, directed by Peter Hackett. Performances 8 PM on Friday July 27** and 8 PM on Sunday, July 29.
"First Year," a musical in one act, follows a freshman student as she experiences the twists and turns of life at fictional Ivylane Collage.
Winners of the Frost Play Contest: "Sigh No More" by Tess McGuiness '18 and "The House" by Savannah Miller '21
Staged readings, directed by Jamie Horton. Performances of both plays on Saturday, July 28** at 8 PM and 4 PM on Sunday, July 29.
“The House” is the story of brothers must come to terms with their family history during the sale of their childhood home. A lesson in where we come from and how it can define us.
“Sigh No More” is about a group of regional theater actors perform a production of Much Ado About Nothing while engaging in a Shakespearian comedy of their own backstage, filled with love triangles, mistaken identities, betrayals and triumphs
** Discussion with playwright, director and members of the cast following the performance.
