A timeless and deeply relevant Tony Award-winning musical, and one of Sondheim's most inventive works. The sophisticated fairy-tale mashup story of a Baker and his wife, who wish to have a child; Cinderella, who wishes to attend the King's Festival; and Jack, who wishes his cow would give milk. Many wishes are granted - but as the characters discover, every wish, and every individual action, can have far-reaching consequences.
