A staged reading of Bla(n)ck Piranha:An Exploration into the Sexual Terrorscape of Black Femininity an original work written by Stella Asa '22, will be presented in the Bentley Theater on Friday October 18 at 7:30 pm. The performance is part of the Department's Fall 2019 New Works Weekend. The piece uses spoken word poetry, interlude, epilogues, music, and dialogue to tell a story of love, self-actualization, and the consequences of asserting individuality in a society that erases black female identity.
