  • AUDITION for A Dream Play

    A Dream Play, written by August Strindberg and adapted by Caryl Churchill is a Senior Honors Thesis production, directed and designed by students. It will be fully produced and designed, and actors will need to be off book (that is, memorize their lines) for this production. This production will be casting and have some commitment during Winter 2024 term. Auditions will be held January 8 & 10 from 7-10pm.   Performances will be May 3-4, 2024. Synopsis:

  • W24 Small Student Production proposals

    Little Student Production Slots (or Little SPS) provide a venue for performance, whether an extant script, development of new work, and/or for the exploration of work that is unconventional or experimental in nature. Little SPS projects focus on text and process rather than on production or technical elements. Site-specific work can be proposed as part of a Little SPS presentation, and experimental design-based work will be considered (with faculty approval) on a case-by-case basis.

  • W24 MainStage Cabaret: Something Happy For Crying Out Loud!

    This Winter '24 the Department of Theater will be fully producing a live full-length cabaret designed to feature as many examples of the performing arts as possible. We hope these will include but will not limited to music, dance, acting, magic, puppetry, burlesque, standup comedy, spoken word poetry, instrumental performance, mime, opera, ventriloquism, monologues, and animal acts…and anything else you can imagine. We are asking for proposals for performance pieces that activate the announced theme: Something Happy for Crying Out Loud!

  • BUTA Performance Postponed!
